All the countries above deal with problems regarding the levels of racism but also regarding the censorship and corruption of their National Media. Aim of the project is to train participants on how to recognize and identify hate speech and projection of stereotypes on media but mainly how to use New Media in order to combat xenophobia. Through methods of non formal education, participants will get experiential knowledge about Human Rights and they will focus on the creation of media content which will be consistent with and it will promote the values of democracy and equality.

Important aspect of the project is its multicultural character, as young participants from 11 different countries will live and work together for 6 days. Thus, they will have the opportunity to share experiences about outbreaks of racism and xenophobia in their countries and the rise of right wing parties while they will also explore together the possible reasons for these phenomena and the position of Media in this framework.

Please, download from here the info pack and the application form.

Participation Fee is 50 Euro. Full board accommodation and the 70% of travel costs will be covered by the project
