As 7-days Training Course RVR gathers 28 participants from 7 countries to discuss recognition tools in volunteer management system.

General Description

A report published in 2011 by the United Nations Volunteer Programme on the ‘Status of the World’s Volunteerism’ recognizes that there are strong links between volunteerism and its contribution to the global common goods of peace, security, human rights and development. But the report also says that this link is still not adequately recognized.

Volunteerism, it says, is “one of the missing components of a development paradigm which still has economic growth at its core”. It is thus very important for all of us to continue to find ways to include volunteers’ voices and efforts in the conversation around the kind of societies we want to build.

In a lifelong learning perspective, RVR aims to bring an international dimension of volunteering for professional development of youth workers through the implementation of mobility activities. It also links non-formal learning methods with youth fields and provides open access to useful online documents and media that produced during the training.

RVR invests on the skills and competences and quality improvements in youth work to strengthen links between the youth field and the labour market. Besides, it focuses the international dimension of youth activities and searches opportunities for cooperation and mobility with partner countries by laying a foundation for a volunteer network.

The key objectives of the project are as follows:
• to exchange and transfer knowledge and know-how on volunteer recognition
• to improve the level of key competences, social abilities and digital skills of participants
• to enhance the volunteer management capacity of partner and beneficiary organizations
• to foster quality improvements in youth work
• to promote recognition of volunteering to strengthen links between the youth field and the labour market
