DNS – The Necessary teacher training College – is a gathering place of young people, in possession of curiosity, courage and humor, who wish to experience the world in an organized manner. Being on the move is part of DNS. Completing all the periods and subjects lead to a Bachelor Degree in Pedagogy. 1st Year – The International Practice Field includes a 4-month bus travel through the Sahara desert. 2nd Year – The European Practice Field includes 6 months in European reality working in factories etc. 3rd Year – The School Practise Field includes 8 months work in schools.If you still want to volunteer or teach, write to firstname.lastname@example.org . Below you can see the outline of the education. Each year has its curricular subjects as well as elements we have decided to train you in as well. 1st Year – The International Practice Field includes 2 months in Denmark preparing for a 4-month bus travel; 4 months bus travel through the Sahara desert and 3 months of elaboration and information work for people in Europe. 2nd Year – The European Practice Field includes 6 months training in experiencing and understanding the national reality by seeking employment in factories and other workplaces. Living, studying, working and organizing cultural events in a bigger European city; 3 months studying at the school and 3 months doing what you find most appropriate to do. 3rd Year – The School Practise Field includes 8 months training, working and understanding the reality of children and teachers by seeking employment in a European school; 4 months at the college studying and final exams.
We do not have a long selection process for our participants. We believe that anyone can become an activist, and that anyone can make a contribution to development, if they so choose. To enroll to the distance‐learning programmes at One World University – you must have 12 years of education in school or 10 years of school plus adequate work experience. EU Passport required. Before you enroll, we expect you to ask all the questions you have on your mind… all of them.
Requirements Are you more than 18 years old? Have you completed a secondary education? Are you able to communicate freely in English? Are you open-minded, flexible and hardworking? Are you not afraid of practical work such as gardening, maintenance and construction? If you have a desire to take up a challenge, experience things that you will never forget and develop yourself, then this program is for you. Economy: You pay an enrollment fee of 6500 Danish Kroner (approx. 860 Euro). There are different school fees for the different programmes. Therefore, if you read the information in this letter, and take a stand to which program you are interested, then we can communicate more about the relevant fees. Drugs and Alcohol: One of the important demands we place upon you as a participant in our school and programme, is that you understand and actively support the frames of the school and program. The policy includes a strict no alcohol & no drugs consumption whilst in the programme – in Denmark as well as in Africa.
