The project “Instruments for Social Inclusion” is a youth exchange that will involve 42 youngsters from Italy, Greece, Croatia, Hungary, Poland and Romania.
The project will take place in Cagliari, Italy, from 5 to 11 November 2018 and the main topics are exclusion, immigration and the role of the music as a tool to encourage the social inclusion process.
The increase of immigrant flows at European level, is causing the spread of xenophobia and racism, and is causing the success of extremist political factions, which undermines the European Union stability and impede the social inclusion process.
We strongly believe that the music, thanks to its nature of universal language is a perfect tool to combat these prejudices and stereotypes, which come from a lack of dialogue and cultural awareness and from communication difficulties.
The biggest aim of “Instruments for Social Inclusion” is to enhance the social inclusion process through the music and has these specific objectives:
– explore the topic of social inclusion and share good practices developed at European level in this field;
– analyse the European situation about migratory flows;
– create 5 musical tracks about social inclusion;
– use music to promote social inclusion;
– boost the mobility opportunities of the Erasmus plus programme as tool for the social inclusion and personal development.
All the Seminar activities will be done through the methods of non-formal education. The activities will be for example brain storming’s, plenary discussions, simulations, role plays, team building, energizers, ice breakers and many others. Non formal education is voluntary, no hierarchical and all its methods are based on the concept of learning by doing
