The aim of this training course is to provide practical tools to participants to improve their communication competences, both- verbal and non-verbal in English for social inclusion of refugees, migrants as well as youth from intercultural background

General Description

The aim of this training course is to provide practical tools to participants to improve their communication competences, both- verbal and non-verbal (skills, attitudes and knowledge) in English for social inclusion of refugees, migrants as well as youth from intercultural background (ethnical/ religious minorities).

Objectives:

-To develop strategies to handle communications in working with diverse groups of refugees, migrants and people with fewer opportunities (ethnical/ religious minorities) .
-To develop English communication and non-verbal strategies to tackle cultural differences in order to facilitate understanding in intercultural and international partnerships
– to create space for NGOs and youth workers to cooperate in the implementation of joint initiatives in the topic of integration of migrants and refugees on local, regional and international level;
– To exchange best practices in relation to youth work and intercultural learning and migration
-To provide participants with practical tools to activate and improve their English language skills
-To help participants improve their existing communication skills in English and in non-verbal communication in order to develop educational activities for social inclusion of migrants and refugees
-To rehearse practical situations where English and non-verbal communication is required
-To provide information and vocabulary about mobility and Erasmus+ programmes as well as project management in order to create joint initiatives in the topic of integration of migrants and refugees
-To support design communication and dissemination activities adjusted to projects, target groups, scope of activities, especially in the topic of integration of migrants, refugees and people with fewer opportunities
-To facilitate the building of long-lasting partnerships among participants’ and NGOs for future Collaboration

Criteria for selection:
– Experience in youth work and active participation in the sending organization activities and work
– Motivation to participate in 100% of the length of the project
– Commitment to follow up activities
– Commitment to disseminate the project results
– Direct or indirect work with migrants/ refugees/ asylum seekers/ minorities
-Motivation to improve communication skills in English as well as non-verbal communication skills.

Please Note:

This project is not for beginners in English or youth work. By participating in the project you commit for dissemination and follow-up activities.

This project is financed by the Erasmus+ Programme in the field of youth

 

Accommodation and food

Board and lodging of the participants will be fully covered by the organisers. All participants will be accommodated in a room for 2-4 people. Three meals a day and coffee breaks will be provided in the whole duration of the activity

Travel reimbursement

Travel costs for the activity will be reimbursed accordingly to the following limit:

This is a course for professional development of youth workers, educators and youth leaders who would like to organise educational projects and programmes with mixed ability groups using Human Rights Education.

General Description

Training course “Human Rights Education with Mixed Ability Groups” is a training course for professional development of youth workers, educators and leaders of educational programmes who would like to organize educational projects, programmes and activities with mixed ability groups through human rights education.

During the Training Course participants will discover:

-How to run mixed ability inclusive youth educational activities and projects based on Human Rights Education and non-formal learning approach;
– The values, principles, concepts and methods of human rights education;
– The principles of development and running of educational programmes within Human rights education field;
– Quality and particularities of human rights education activity with mixed ability groups of young people;
– What is the experiential learning cycle;
– Effective tips and hints on how to make HRE inclusive
– The levels of responsibility working in activities and projects with youth groups of mixed ability nature;
– Effective tools and instruments of inclusive youth worker and educator;
– The realities and best practices of youth educational activities and projects in EU, Eastern Partnership region and Russia;

The recognition of youth work, Youthpass and different learning instruments, youth worker’s competences and assessment.

Participants will also:

– Work in international groups;
– Get practical experience preparing and running human rights education activities with mixed ability groups during the trainiing course;
– Explore recent developments of youth work field;
– Set personal and professional development aims;
– Have an opportunity to develop international and local educational projects in the field of youth within and outside Erasmus+ programme.

It is expected that participants (together or individually) will organise local training/educational activities after the training course integrating human rights education and mixed ability approaches.

Profile of participants:

– Youth workers and youth leaders who act as youth educators in educational programmes and projects representing NGOs, working directly with young people with some experience of educational programmes with mixed-ability groups or without, but having strong dedication to introduce mixed ability approach and human rights education in their work;

– Interested in development of their organisation/institution and inclusive youth work in their respective city, region, country and Europe;
– Motivated for further professional development
– Aged: 18+;
– Able to communicate and work in Russian;
– Able to participate in the full duration of the course

Being selected for this course, all costs (accommodation, travel, food, etc.) relevant to participation in the course will be covered. All participants will be accommodated in a room for 3-4 people. Three meals a day and coffee breaks will be provided in the whole duration of the activity.

Travel reimbursement

Visa cost cover 100% and travel costs will be paid within the limits set by the Erasmus+ programme.

Training course will help participants to develop conflict management skills that can help in addressing conflicts internal to an organization, either between individuals or departments without violence.

Overall objectives of the project are:

• Equip participants with interpersonal communication and negotiation skills to create more effective outcomes in conflict situations.

• Explore tools, approaches and attitudes for effective conflict intervention and resolving seemingly intractable disputes on all levels (personal, organizational, community and country level)

• to equip youngsters with knowledge and tools about creative thinking, public speaking, decision making and teamwork through non-formal methods of education;

• to promote solidarity, empathy and tolerance

• Promote active citizenship and non-violent actions towards peace and democracy;

• to develop communication and social skills, and improve the sense of initiative and negotiation through improvisational theater

Results

All partners will publish information about the project using Internet resources. All the participating organizations will use their contacts in order to ensure a wide dissemination of the results of the project:

The action plan of the network, mission and vision statement of it, the experience they’ve gained, the information they’ve acquired, important details that impressed them, manual created by the project participants` photos, videos, an importance of the activities, they’ve been part of.

They will also try to encourage other civic society representatives to take part and develop projects via the Erasmus+.

After returning home the participants will organize an informational meeting with local youngsters, and share their experience and knowledge about the topic of the project.

The training course is addressed to people who:

• ages 18+

• Gender balance between the participants should be respected during the completing of group.

• Participants of the project are required to know and be able to communicate in English as it`s declared as the working language of the project.

• Recommended for Youth workers, Trainers, Youth leaders, Youth Policy Makers

Costs

 

This project is financed by the Erasmus+ Youth Programme.

– Being selected for this project, accommodation and lodging (breakfast-lunch and dinner) will be 100% covered by the host organisation. During the exchange the catering will be provided (breakfast, lunch, dinner, 2 coffee breaks).

Conflict Resolution – Move fast and Say Yes is an Erasmus+ project, aims to develop and promote intercultural competences and diversity management skills for youth work in multi-cultural environments with high conflict risks.

General Description

Interpersonal conflict is a fact of life and can arise in almost any sphere, from organisations through to personal relationships.

Learning to resolve it effectively, in a way that does not increase your stress levels, is therefore important for everyone. Those with good conflict resolution skills generally help organisations and groups to work more effectively.

By understanding the root causes of conflict, influencing others with evidence, and supporting people with the skills to resolve conflict without violence, people and institutions will have the skills, knowledge and power to pursue peace.

Overall objectives of the project are the following:

1. Equip participants with interpersonal communication and negotiation skills;

2. Explore tools, approaches and attitudes for effective conflict intervention and resolving seemingly intractable disputes on all levels (personal, organizational, community and country level)

3. to equip youngsters with knowledge and tools about creative thinking, public speaking, decision making and teamwork through non-formal methods of education;

4. to promote solidarity, empathy and tolerance

5. Promote active citizenship and non-violent actions towards peace and democracy;

6. to develop communication and social skills, and improve the sense of initiative and negotiation through improvisational theater.

Description of the Activity and Methodology:

During the Training Course will be used different activities and methods such as group works, video productions, role play games, simulation games, brainstorming, team building games, workshops, debates.

Outcome:

All partners will publish information about the project using Internet resources. All the participating organizations will use their contacts, websites, blog and newsletters in order to ensure a wide dissemination of the results of the project: The action plan of the network, mission and vision statement of it, the experience they’ve gained, the information they’ve acquired, important details that impressed them, manual created by the project participants` photos, videos, an importance of the activities, they’ve been part of. They will also try to encourage other civic society representatives to take part and develop projects via the Erasmus+.

After returning home the participants will organize an informational meeting with local youngsters, and share their experience and knowledge about the topic of the project. All used and created materials and manuals of the project done by the participants at the end of project, will be published on the blog of the project, web-sites of promoter organizations and different social networks.

The “Play for Human Rights!” Campaign. Spain impact” project aims to train young sports workers to use human rights education in complex with grassroots sports activities for resolving youth problems.

General Description

The “Play for Human Rights!” Campaign. Spain impact” project aims to train young sports workers to use human rights education (HRE) in complex with grassroots sports activities for resolving youth problems.

Objectives:

-To provide educational and mentors support for grassroots sport & HRE Youth Coaches;
-To develop awareness and basic competencies (knowledge, skills and attitudes) of participants in human rights education, peacebuilding, intercultural learning and dialogue;
-To enable participants to share personal successful sport & social practices and learning strategies in a positive and safe atmosphere of living and learning together;
-To increase project management skills of participants;
-To motivate and support participants in their role as multipliers and peer leaders in peacebuilding activities using grassroots sport & HRE with young people, encouraging them to implement follow-up initiatives;
-To develop an international network of grassroots sport & HRE Youth Coaches using ICT;
-To develop Video tutorials with solutions for organizing public festivals of grassroots sport & HRE;
-To revise and strengthen the professional profile of the teaching professions;
-To promote voluntary activities in sport, together with social inclusion, equal opportunities and awareness of the importance of health-enhancing physical activity, through increased participation in, and equal access to sport for all.

We work from the global to local and motivate participants to provide follow-up actions for positive changes with our mentorship support and online platforms possibilities using.

Approach and content

The programme is based on non-formal education and informal methods, such as exercises from the Council of Europe manuals (Compass, Have your say, Bookmarks, etc.), working in groups, creative presentations, group discussions, presentations, learning by doing, debriefing, project management, reflection, etc.

Note: During the training, participants will prepare and implement the public festival of grassroots sport and HRE for local young people. After the training course participants need to prepare and implement follow up activity by organizing public festivals of grassroots sport & HRE (or similar event) in their local community.

Please be aware that the training course will not provide you with academic knowledge and concomitant recognition as it is a purely non-formal activity, and its success depends on the active participation of everybody present.

Profile of the participants

●no age limit;
●able to work in English;
●available and fully committed to take part in the full duration of the activity;
●curious, open-minded, appreciate diversity and learn about each other’s realities;
●motivated to learn and to apply the values and approaches of the project, notably sport for all, grassroots sport popularizing, gender equality, social inclusion, human rights, democracy and intercultural dialogue;
●representatives of the youth or social sports workers, athletes, physical education teachers or active community leaders who already use or want to start use grassroots sport in their voluntary work;
●involved in sports projects in their community and motivated to implement youth sports initiatives for HRE and peacebuilding after training course;
●possess a sense of responsibility for one’s own actions, a commitment to personal and community development and continue the engagement with other participants through the international network of grassroots sport & HRE youth coaches;
●preferably be involved in an organisation or network, institution, formal and/or informal group that is ready to support them throughout the project duration and afterwards when implementing follow up youth sports initiatives for HRE and peacebuilding.
