The project Non Formal Job Matching is a training course which will gather 30 participants from Slovakia, Poland, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, Lithuania, Italy, Spain, Estonia and Malta to learn together about non-formal methodology supporting youth job guidance.

General Description

“Thalia Teatro” from Slovakia is a small professional theatre that prepares performances particularly for children and families. Its repertoire includes drama, puppet shows, alternative cabaret and last but not least, street theatre. Thalia Teatro also prepares and leads lots of drama and literacy projects for children, youths and pedagogues.

Aim:

Aim of the training course is to equip youth workers in effective NFE methodology which supports the young people in finding job which combine their talents and passions.

Objectives:

  • To learn the non-formal theatre methodology supporting individual job career guidance and self-development.
  • To learn different NFE methodologies for developing soft skills to increase employability on European market.
  • To create the job career guidance toolkit and implement workshop in the local communities of partners during the follow up phase.
  • To support the networking between partners and their members and increase learning by sharing.

Activities:

Activities start in the morning of 2nd of May and finish in the evening of 10th of May. Your travel to and from venue need to allow you to take part in all activities.

Everyday participants would take part in 4 workshops, 2 before and 2 after the lunch and some evening activites.

Methodology:

All of the workshops and activities on the training course would be based on non-formal methodology.

The main NFE methodology used in the training would be British Drama, Improvisation theatre, Theatrical Acting and Miming.

Participants would mainly learn through expriential learning, where they would have oportunity to go through the experience, analise it and reflect on it. Participants would learn from each others experience, group work, discussions, simulations, reflections

Visibility:

The project’s visibility is important for its success. It is important for us to promote
the project, youth mobility and job guidance methods based on NFE. Therefore participants and partners would be involved in promoting the project and increasing its visibility in the social media and in their local community.

There would be the FB page of the project and in the end there would be the toolkit with the
developed methodology.

Active Participation:

By taking part in this project you are confirming that you are going to be active in all phases of the project which include the preparation for the training, taking part in all workshops during the training course and accomplish all tasks connected with dissemination and promotion of the project results.

Follow Up:

The main aim of the project is to promote non-formal methodologies for job guidance and its
recognition among the youth educators in Europe, especially in the local communities of our
partners therfore the follow up phase is very important for success of the project.

The follow up activities would involve sharing the competances regarding the job guidance and promoting the project via social media (FB page) and its results as the toolkit prepared during the project.

Participants’ Profile:

-over 22 years old
-active youth worker or leader who is daily working with youth people (especially
in the field of job guidance)
-communicative level of english
-experienced in NFE mobilities or in usage of NFE methods
-motivation to take active part in all workshops during the activity
-willing to promote the project during all phases via social media
-willing to improve the quality of their education methods use in work with youth
-willing to prepare necessary materials about youth work in their community and about Erasmus+ Youth Programme, before the project and make the follow up of the activity

– Being selected for this course, accommodation and lodging (breakfast-lunch and dinner) will be 100% covered by the host organisation. During the exchange the catering will be provided (breakfast, lunch, dinner, 2 coffee breaks).

We will take care of our space where we will live, work and learn therefore we need to keep the place clean and useful for our activities. During the workshops we will walk in the workshop-room barefoot or in socks (so take some warm socks if you get cold easily).

General Description

This cross-sectoral conference, addressing both issues and opportunities surrounding youth employability and entrepreneurship, is the flagship event of the Youth@Work Partnership in 2019.

The emphasis of the conference will be on the cooperation between formal and non-formal (youth work) education providers, employment, social & business sectors, (social) entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders. It will showcase achievements, recommendations, good practices as well as future plans inspired by the outcomes of the conference to be taken up by the Youth@Work Partnership.

In 2018, a consortium of 11 Erasmus Plus Youth National Agencies (NAs) and 4 SALTO-YOUTH Resource Centres decided to take a new approach to support employability and entrepreneurship amongst young people and professionals.

They, therefore, launched the Youth@Work Strategic Partnership on Youth Employability and Entrepreneurship, with the aim to better address these areas by working collaboratively, based on a common strategy.

Youth@Work is an alliance of the NAs of Turkey (the leading NA), Cyprus, Republic of North Macedonia, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Malta, Poland, Spain, and the UK, with the support of the SALTO-YOUTH Eastern Europe and Caucasus (Poland), Euromed and Good Practices (France), South East Europe (Slovenia) and Training and Cooperation (Germany) Resource Centres. It runs from January 2018 to December 2020, when the Erasmus+ Programme ends.

This Kick off Conference will enable the Youth@Work Partnership to showcase its achievements so far, to create a platform for networking, reflection, exchanges of practices and knowledge, and to explore ways forward in addressing the topics of youth employability and entrepreneurship.

General Aim

To initiate exchanges of ideas and cooperation between actors from different sectors in order to create better opportunities for youth integration into the labour market and to make the market more accessible.

Objectives

1.To inform participants about Youth@Work and its role within youth employability and entrepreneurship.
2.To connect formal and non-formal education professionals to policymakers and actors within the business sector in order to discuss opportunities to shape the future.
3.To identify and consider ways to bridge the gaps between employers and the young workforce through cross-sectoral collaboration.
4.To capture & anticipate the employability & entrepreneurship trends.
5.To sketch a roadmap for implementation of the conference outcomes.
6.To communicate the achievements, action plans and recommendations of the Youth@Work Partnership.

6 days training course designed to offer new skills and tools to enhances competences and knowledge of youth workers working with young people in need, especially NEET and young people with fewer opportunities.

General Description

The most recent EU Youth Report indicated that sadly more than 13 milions of youth all over the Europe are not in Employment, Education and Training (NEET) and the trend shows a constant incresing.

The Paris Declaration 2015 acknowledges that youth represent the future and that the work done to buid on youth’s sense of initiative and participation must be collective and reinforced.

In the other hand work with young people requires youth workers who continuously increase their competences to improve the quality of their work, so for this reason ‘imPACT’ project is designed to improve the quality of youth work especially focused and addressed at youth at risk of exclusion, NEET and young people with fewer opportunities.

It consist in 6 full training days and the specific objectives are:

– develop deep understanding of the issues related to youth at risk, especially NEETs and youth with fewer opportunities;
– to increase the capacity of youth workers to empower young people they work with, especially youth at risk;
– to increase their employability and initiative spirit;
– to provide concrete learning tools and methods for developing life skills for this specific target;
– to increase motivation of youth workers in working with this target and explore new approaches;
– to create the space for follow up cooperation activities among partner organizations, focusing on youth at risk, especially NEETs and youth with fewer opportunities.

The training is addressed to youth workers (over 18) that are involved in youth work with different roles (youth workers, youth leaders, coaches, mentors and volunteers), including people with fewer opportunities. The participation of teachers and professionals involved in youth organization work is also possible.

General Description

The context is linked with the problems of youngsters to access labour market and business field, to promote and valorize their entrepreneurial ideas

The aim of the project is to increase the employability of young people aged 18-25 and their success in the business environment by developing innovative spirit and entrepreneurial creativity and enhancing skills for initiating and promoting entrepreneurial ideas

The objectives are :

  • increasing the level of entrepreneurial training for 34 young people and 8 group leaders from 8 countries and raising the key competences needed to facilitate access to the labour market and business environment.
  • increase entrepreneurial spirit for 42 participants from 8 countries to initiate, develop and promote an entrepreneurial initiative over the next 12 months.
  • a better integration of 42 participants and 8 associations into the activities of media and video creation as non-formal education methods for effective promotion of entrepreneurial initiatives of young people and success in the business environment
  • extending European cooperation among young people from 8 associations from 8 countries by sharing common practices and projects by December 2020

The methodology will be based on nonformal education and will consist in games, presentations, debates, role plays and simulations, entrepreneurial education, workshops, visits, intercultural evenings, etc

Study visit is on the topic of the inclusion of unemployed young people. This study visit aims to have an overview of different kind of methods used in working with unemployed young people through the activities of organisations, public bodies, projects.

General Description

Specific aim of the activity will be to create quality projects on inclusion in the European Solidarity Corps and Erasmus+ programme and contribute to increase the knowledge and competencies of participants and organisations involved.

The study visit will consist in a practical part – visit the organisation/project, meet youth workers and beneficiaries – and in a activities focused on evaluation and analysis also through theoretical input.

Main themes of the Study visit are prevention, guidance, low threshold activities and entrepreneurship education. During the study visit participants will be challenged to identify the profile of the young unemployed person.

Methodology: 2,5 working days of activities in a group with facilitator. We will use field visit of projects and organizations, reflection/debriefing activities, projects idea in group and in general non formal methods will be preferred.

Participant Profile: The target group for the study visit in Jyväskylä are youth workers willing to enhance their competences. Other characteristics are:

– to have competencies and knowledge on the topic of the inclusion of unemployed young people
– to have competencies on inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities – to have experience in the youth work sector

– to be interested in develop new projects on inclusion in the framework of European Solidarity Corps and Erasmus+

– be able to communicate and work in English (which will be the working language for the whole training course).
– be able to attend the full training course.
– wish to learn from each other’s during debate and evaluation.

Training Course: Entrepreneurship Training Course within Young Parents – Young Empowerment! Campaign

Campaign dedicated to the empowerment of young parents to be competent in entrepreneurship and to reinforce the capacity of acting or potential trainers, teachers, mentors and youth workers in the youth domain through Training Courses and Conferences.

General Description

The campaign “Young parents – Young empowerment!” is aimed at autonomous distribution of entrepreneurship competences among young parents, capacity reinforcing of youth educators & workers, popularization of volunteering and mentorship, cultivating role models for young parents and the constant encouragement of young parents to self-employment and social interaction through diverse ways of inclusive engagement and sustainable tools developing.

Objectives:

1. To empower young parents to play an active role in the society development through increasing of the active parenting and entrepreneurship skills and competences.
2. To reinforce the capacity of young parents as trainers, teachers, mentors, and youth workers within their communities.
3. To create an online workspace for young families with preschool and primary school children (including mothers on maternity leave), for inclusion in the social life and the creation of active enterprising young parents community with the possibility to attract the attention of the potential customers through the Internet platforms.
4. To share best practices, tips and the possibilities of creating a culture of active parenting.

Approach and content

The programme is based on non-formal education methods, such as group discussions, presentations, interactive real-life learning experience; simulation exercises, follow-up projects development and networking.

Please be aware that the training course will not provide you with academic knowledge and concomitant recognition as it is a purely non-formal activity, and its success depends on the active participation of everybody presented.

Profile of the participants

Young parents who are youth/social workers, coaches/trainers/specialists, educators or youth leaders active within their organizations or communities, who use or want to use entrepreneurship competencies and/or entrepreneurship education in their professional or volunteer activities to reach positive social changes. Priority would be given to people who already started own business and have their product or service established.

Campaign dedicated to the empowerment of young parents to be competent in entrepreneurship and to reinforce the capacity of acting or potential trainers, teachers, mentors and youth workers in the youth domain.

We are looking for young parents during the prenatal period and after it, aged between 16-35 years old. We will invite 20 % of participants over 35 years to make a connection between newcomers and experienced people.

Priority to take part in the mobility would be given to those, who have fewer opportunities. We will invite representatives of the social and/or ethnic minorities (including people with disabilities).

Being selected for this course, all costs (accommodation, travel, visa, etc.) relevant to participation in the course will be covered by the coordinator

Travel reimbursement

The following maximum travel reimbursement per participant is eligible:

Azerbaijan 530 EUR
Italy 0 EUR
Ukraine 275 EUR

Participation fee

All participants are required to pay a participation fee of 40 euros.
